For every product purchased, United by Blue removes one pound of trash from oceans and waterways.
Our Philosophy: Change Comes In Waves
Doing the dirty work is in our DNA: we organized our first community cleanup the week we sold our first t-shirt. Years later, we’re still hauling old tires, gathering plastic bottles, and picking up the bits of styrofoam that litter our shorelines. Our dream is to eliminate the need for this mission one day, so our pursuit doesn’t stop at reusable trash bags. We prioritize sustainable materials and ethical manufacturing to lead the charge toward better business practices. We facilitate easy ways for our customers to generate less waste by creating products like reusable utensil kits. And we build community through our waterway cleanups, determined to spread the idea that if one business can make a difference, so can one person.
Sustainable Materials In ten years of creating apparel, we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. Our commitment to using sustainable materials doesn’t place fit and function on the back burner; on the contrary, our store is proof that you can create a great-fitting, long-lasting product with the exclusive use of materials that are environmentally and ethically sourced.
Ethical ManufacturinG Just as critical as the materials in our apparel are the hands that created it. We are committed to creating products that have only positive impacts; not just on the end-user, and not just on the earth, but on the quality of life of the workers who created it. We accomplish this by partnering with factories that hold the highest standards for facilities and personnel, with the third-party certifications to back it up.
We're here to prove that fashion can be a force for good. Through our commitment to sustainable materials, ethical manufacturing, and a zero-plastic policy, we're always searching for better ways to put the planet first.
