Event T&Cs

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a hiking trip with Actually Trading Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 200808463E) ("The Company"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If booking on behalf of others, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their compliance.

2. Booking & Payments

  • Deposit & Final Payment: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure participation. Failure to complete payment may result in booking cancellation.

  • Third-Party Suppliers: The Company works with independent suppliers (e.g., transport, mountain guide) but assumes no liability for their acts, omissions, or services.

  • Unused Services: No refunds or credits will be issued for missed or unused services after departure.

3. Insurance Requirement

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellations (medical/family emergencies)

  • Medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation

  • Personal liability, loss/theft of belongings

THE Company is not liable for uninsured losses.

4. The Contract

This agreement is between you (The Participant) and The Company, governed by these Terms, our cancellation policy, and liability limitations.

5. Booking on Behalf of Others

If booking for a group:

  • You are the primary contact responsible for payments, communications, and disseminating trip details.

  • You warrant that all participants consent to these Terms and that provided information is accurate.

6. Medical & Fitness Requirements

  • Pre-Existing Conditions: Disclose any medical conditions affecting participation. A Medical Form signed by a physician may be required before final payment.

  • Fitness Level: Moderate fitness is required. Train with cardio, strength exercises, and weighted hikes (5–6kg).

  • Right to Refuse: The Company may deny participation if a participant’s health or fitness poses a risk.

7. Age Restrictions

Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

8. Special Requests

Requests (e.g., dietary, accommodations) are not guaranteed and do not amend these Terms.

9. Itinerary Changes

Dates, routes, and prices are subject to change due to safety, weather, or operational factors.

10. Cancellation Policy

  • By The Participant: No refunds for cancellations.

  • By The Company:

    • Full refund if cancelled by us (excluding Force Majeure).

    • No reimbursement for incidental expenses (flights, hotels, etc.).

11. Liability Limitations

  • Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge hiking involves inherent dangers (terrain, weather, wildlife) and release The Company from liability for injuries, losses, or damages.

  • Third-Party Services: The Company is not liable for acts/omissions of independent suppliers.

12. Environmental Responsibility

Follow Leave No Trace principles. Violations may result in removal from the trip without refund.

13. Guide-to-Participant Ratio

  • 1 Hike Leader per 7 participants.

  • Summit attainment is not guaranteed (subject to weather/fitness).

14. Media & Marketing

You grant The Company irrevocable rights to use photos/videos of you for promotional purposes worldwide, without compensation.

15. Privacy Policy

Personal data is collected per our Privacy Policy to deliver services. By booking, you consent to data practices outlined therein.

16. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for cancellations due to unforeseeable events (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest).

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Singapore/Malaysia law. Disputes shall be resolved in Singaporean/Malaysian courts.
